Bitcoin

On Thursday 9 of April, I followed the online training session of Zohair, to the Winea and Evesoc team about the bitcoin.

It's a real special subject and very technical so I was a little worried to don't understand nothing.

Zohair start to introduced the subject with a definition. Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically and the most important characteristic is that it is decentralized. It was created by satoshi Nakaoto, it's an electronic payment system based on mathematic proof.

After this introduction we watched a video about "How does Bitcoin Work" presented by Techquickie. It was a simple video really well realized I understood more about the concept thank to it.

We learnt that it's not really simple that have bitcoin you need special device and informatique object and software. We learnt too that it's a different money, no need to be print, it's created digitally by a community of people that anyone can join.

The next part was about why we used bitcoin ?

  • because it can be used to buy anonymously merchandise

  • International payment are easy and cheap

  • Small business may like them

  • Buy coin as an investment

We learnt after that on what if based the bitcoin ? Not like conventional currency it hasn't been based on gold and silver. It's based on mathematics and software program that follow a mathematic formula.

After the next part was about How works the bitcoin ? I put this schedule because it's clear :

After this explication we did the task, it was to analyse and do a presentation about a electronic currency, create a slideshow. Each group had to select one between Ethernum, Ripple and Litecoin.

It was interesting to know different form of online currency to compare and analyse the prons and cons of each one.

To conclude, this training not my favorite one because I think that there were to much theoritical knowledge and it's was quiet difficult to follow sometime, and the subject didn't passionate me lots but It's was interesting because I'm curious to discover new things.
