What is this event ?

They say it's the EUROPE'S BIGGEST ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVENT FOR STUDENTS. It take place in the house of the culture in Helsinki. The fall up event during two full day, one more about business ( This is where we went) and the other one more about design and technologies.

Actually, this event it's a meeting place between several startUp, students and professional.

In fact, during this day it's possible to exchange with start Up, participate to workshop and know more about the business story of professional...

So it's was a huge opportunity for us to go there because we have to prepare an event and this kind of meeting place can help us to organize it because we can meet sponsors.

What we did during the day ?

We left from helsinki at 12am and we got here at 2pm. Fisrt we strated to meet all the start Up and exhange with students who introduced them.

First we meet Colombia Road. It's a start-up that helps companies get more customer in the digital field. I really liked their graphic universe, it was very harmonious and stylish.

Then we met Monochrome it was a marketing and influence agency. This stand was very cool because their design, their goodies and the graphic charter were beautiful, they show us their page instagram it was great. We even tasteda new product to their partner, it was a rose soda. The agency hope to find new influencer to promote it. They explain to us that the market of the influencer is growing more and more it was very interesting to speak with student about it.

After I went to the stand of Price tap is a start-up concerning shopping and promotion, the aim is that shoppers scan price tags to create wish lists and get rewards. I found it very practical and clever, Girls of the stand shown us how the app works and it was interesting.

An other exemple of start Up we meet was We host. The role of them is "to give property owners the opportunity to gain benefits of the circular economy though short term rental without the need of managing the property by themselves". I found the concept very interesting, the guy with who I spoke say to me to apply to join the start Up because they search student in Turku to join them, but unfortunatly I'm an exchange student so they said to me it's complicated.

Finnaly I can talk about one last start Up that interested me, it's Pals, the aim of this one is to make goodies for their consumers, I think this one can be pratical for our sport event. The universe of the brand was very nice and hype. I adored this stand.

After met several star Up and exchange with different student and professional, we had partipated to two workshop. The fist one was about "B2B media sales". It was talk about " how foes advertising work or targeting work ? to know how identify the users, use several date segment and imagine the futur of the digital. It was interesting but most part of what they had say I knew already. We did a game online with the app "menti", I did't know this app before so it was good to used it.

The second workshop was about "entrepreneurship", this workshop was presented by the EIT digital school but to my opinion they did too much promotion for their school. They explain witch benefits we will have if we enter in their school and they speak less about the world of entrepreneurship ship" But the guy who presented was very invested and active, he gave to us good advices : "find benefit in all our work experiences, being yourself and try to be different, be entreprenarial mindset."

We finnished this day with the business story of several business man or woman, we called them "the speakers".

The fisrt one was JAAJO LINNONMAA, he is the Founder & Chairman of the Board at VirtualTraveller. The concept of this company was very original and unknow for me. It found it very clever because lots of people in the world haven't enought money for travelling and thanks to this invention they can discover million of new landscapes in a very realistic and immersive way.

The second speaker was NOORA FAGERSTRÖM, she is the Founder & CEO of Jungle Juice Bar. Her story was inspiring and moving because she started from nothing and she build her own "empire". Futhermore it was a girl so it was more easy to identify with her.

The last speaker was JARI SARASVUO, he is the Founder & CMO of Trainers' House. They said that in finland it's the guy the most inspiring. When I listened him, I felt that he had experience, that he knew what he was talking about so I listened attentively to his advice.

What's my opinion about the event ?

Concerning my opinion about this event, I am really delighted by this experience because I learned lots of thinks about business, entrepreneurship, creation of start Up, agency of influencer, marketing. Thanks to this event I know many start Up in Finland and I can easily now identify the Finnish market and interests.

What was the most rewarding  was the discussion with the finnish student during the visit of the stand because Who better than students in start-up to explain their daily life within it ? This event motivted me a lots to integrate a start up in France when I will come back because it is a real plus in the professional world, an experience that mobilizes many skills. It's was a huge opportunity to speak with professional in business.

In addition I really appreciated listen the speakers explain their story and gave advice, we were very lucky to have the chance to meet them. But sometimes it was really difficult to understand all what they say because they spook very quikly. Hearing these professionals was encouraging and motivating for the future, there was a beautiful message of hope.

What I less appreciate during this event I think was the workshop, I think it was not really interesting.

Futhermore, I think the price of the event was too expensive because there weren't lots of start Up and in two hours only we had finish our tour. I expected a bigger event with more stakeholders and interactions.

Concerning the general atmosphere of the day, I really enjoyed it. First thank to this event we discovered the culture house of Helsinki, It's beautiful place. Moreover, it was a very organised, there were a lots of available, welcoming and helpful staff, the place was well arranged and decorated for the event. To finnish they had many sponsors so during all the day, we played game to win gifts, goodies or foods, it was very interactive and challenging.
